Powered access major JLG has announced the delivery of four JLG 1250AJP boom lifts last month to National Enterprise of Large Oil Works (ENGTP) in Algeria, a specialist constructor of large industrial hydrocarbon complexes and a subsidiary of the Algerian SONATRACH Group.
The delivery follows another one from JLG in July last year, when ENGTP received six articulating booms as part of a national and international call for tenders. In total the company has taken delivery of 10 booms delivered over a period of 12 months.
FE Mouaci, technical assistant director at ENGT, said: “The relationship between JLG and ENGTP stems from 2009, the year in which the first orders were formalised between the two companies. ENGTP operates a fleet of 28 JLG machines with a variety of working heights. The equipment operates on all our sites in the north and south of Algeria during the construction of major oil & gas works. The working environment is rough but the JLG machines continue to operate under severe conditions. The equipment has proven to be very reliable allowing us to meet project deadlines and considerably improve our services.”
David Courtin, JLG’s regional sales director for Southern Europe and North Africa, added: “As the world leader in designing and manufacturing access equipment, we are very happy that another leader in its category has chosen our machines and renewed its confidence in us. As part of all contracts signed with ENGTP, our official JLG distributor in Algeria, FAYALIFT Eurl, has provided in-depth training to the teams employed by ENGTP and takes care of the technical needs and the supply of spare parts necessary to support the customer in maintaining its products.”
