Himoinsa has introduced its new HS Stationary Range of generators from 10 to 50 kVA at 50Hz and 60Hz, with a modular design and three different canopy sizes available to house the different models depending on their power.
The HS range generator sets are a new design developed with the goal of “meeting the real needs of stationary applications while fully maintaining product quality” said a statement from Himoinsa, which added: “To achieve this, the decision was taken to eliminate from the design any component that is not required for an emergency application, and top quality brands were selected for all components and accessories, in line with the Himoinsa quality standard.”
The HS range is powered by Yanmar engines, designed by Yanmar exclusively for the Himoinsa stationary range. Himoinsa has also chosen to incorporate Stamford and Meccalte alternators, offering total operational reliability in emergency situations. The canopies also guarantee high levels of anticorrosion and anti-oxidation.
According to the Spanish power products giant, these generator sets have been equipped to guarantee a fast and reliable response in, for example, the industrial, commercial and residential sectors, where electrical continuity in the event of any grid outage is essential.
“The HS Range has been designed to guarantee a user-friendly installation of the generator set. That is why it incorporates anchorage points for the installation of standardised hoist rings. It also features an extraction kit that facilitates the handling of the genset during checks, maintenance work, or the installation of the different fuel tanks without the need for a bridge crane. The lifting and extraction kits are optional, as are the lifting skids for forklifts,” said Himoinsa.
“The new design includes fully removable doors to provide full access to the interior of the machine to carry out maintenance and to clean the internal components; at the same time, this makes it possible to reduce the space required during the installation process when the generator set is located inside a room and/or a building.”
Himoinsa’s HS generator sets incorporate two distribution cable entries that provide easy connection and operation; a lower front entry that reduces the genset’s footprint and an alternative lower side entry to facilitate connections in accordance with the specifications and conditions of each installation. Both include a protective aluminium cover to prevent the entry of elements from the outside.
This modular design incorporates different metal fuel tanks with varying capacities and running times. Customers can choose which fuel tank best suits their needs, and they can also upgrade it when the project requires it.
The canopy features self-extinguishing polyurethane foam and high-density rock wool. The location and layout of the air intakes have also been optimised, thus mitigating sound emissions and preventing water from entering the machine.
A new silencer design reduces sound emission levels in industrial environments and offers the possibility of installing a sound attenuation kit, depending on the project’s requirements.
