Global heavy lifting and move specialist Mammoet, will now be delivering its in-house magazine Mammoet World to customers digitally directly to their desktops or mobile devices.
The company said in a statement that the move is in line with its constant adoption of the latest technologies and digital tools in all aspects of its business and over the coming months Mammoet World, which the company has printed since 2001, will deliver information in “a more responsive, visual and interactive fashion across its website and social media platforms”.
Speaking about Mammoet World’s online launch, Paul van Gelder, Mammoet CEO, said: “We’d really like (customers) to get to know our people as individuals; what makes them tick, what they’ve achieved, and to benefit from that directly.”
The statement added: “Our goal remains the same: to inspire and entertain – but at a time and place convenient to you.”
The launch site includes new articles, which include Van Gelder exploring the digital future of engineered heavy lifting; SPMT transportation expert Piet van Nooren explaining how to move heavy loads over bridges safely; and Bram van Oirschot of Mammoet’s Conbit operation discussing maintenance strategies for floating offshore wind.
New content will be uploaded every other week, Mammoet said, and subscribers will receive regular updates direct to their inbox. While Mammoet has revealed the inside story behind its complex heavy lifting and transportation projects through the magazine, the digital edition will have in-depth features, expert opinion and project reports that show “how our people get the job done”, said the company.
