Global earth moving attachments specialist Auger Torque has expanded its earth drill range with the launch of the new 100K Max Earth Drill model, which is designed to work with excavator models of between 21t and 50t.
Auger Torque said it released the new model in response to market demand for an earth drill model in the 100K Max’s specific category. The new model provides an impressive 100,000Nm of torque at 15rpm and is geared for high torque applications, “including, but not limited to, screw pile/anchor installation, large diameter drilling and core barrelling”, said the manufacturer.
Giving details on a field application of the new model, Auger Torque added that in December last year, it partnered with Keller Limited to install 104 helical piles at Southend Hospital in south east England, UK, to support a new three-storey ward to assist with the Covid-19 crisis. Installation was carried out using a 22t excavator and the 100K Max torque head attachment allowed Keller to install the piles with high torque capacities to depths of 6-10m in the site-specific ground conditions.
The new attachment model, used with a Cat excavator, sped up work on the build, as seen in the picture above, and proved its efficacy on a job-site which falls in the ambit of what it was designed for, said Auger Torque.`
