Egis, in a joint venture with SSH International, has recently signed a new contract with its long-time client, the Ministry of Public Works of Kuwait to provide supervision services for a project on one of the country’s major road networks.
The contract will see the joint venture provide supervision services for the construction, rehabilitation and maintenance of Al Ghouse Road from 7th Ring Road till Fahaheel Ahmadi (RA 265), one of Kuwait’s major collector road distributing local traffic and running parallel to roads 30 and 40.
The project is set to start mid-June 2021 and will last for a duration of 39 months, a statement from Egis said on its website. It added that the contract was signed in May 2021.
Egis has previously been involved in two sections of this major project since 2012. The project’s targets include making a complete free flow road starting from 5th RR until Fahaheel Ahmadi road.
“This section RA265 includes the rehabilitation and widening of 11 km of Al Ghouse road, the construction of nine intersections (three elevated) and three footbridges, creation of road services, and relocation of all existing utilities,” the statement concluded.
