JLG Industries has launched the X22SJP compact crawler with a straight boom, which it says provides “more reach, more capacity and faster lifting speed”.
Initially, exhibited at the JLG New Perspective event in Leicester, UK in May, the X22SJP provides a working height of 22m and features an unrestricted platform capacity of 230kgs. A lighter option – X22SJL with GVW <3tons has also been made available to meet regional transportability requirements.
According to JLG, the new compact crawler can reach full working height 25% faster than conventional articulated models, significantly boosting operator productivity.
In June 2022, JLG said it had expanded the augmented reality capabilities on its AR App.
“The new X22SJP combines best in class productivity with unique features, delivering maximum efficiency on jobsites,” says Mirco Negri, Senior Product Manager for JLG in EMEAI.
He adds, “The width of the machine when stowed is extremely compact (just 88cm), in fact it is 10cm narrower than most of its competitors. Another competitive benefit is its working outreach of 12.3m, making it one of the top models of its class. Machine controls are consistent with the other models in the JLG compact crawler range and significant effort has also been invested into the user friendliness of the machine. With one push of a button the machine stows itself from its working position, or it reverses from the ground back up to its previous working position, eliminating the need to use multiple control functions in the platform.”
The X22SJP comes with three drive options: diesel, bi-energy and full Lithium with AC drive including a standard integrated battery heating system when working in cold circumstances. Other standard features include integrated LED lights and SkyLine technology for operator safety as well as variable stabilisation function which allows the X22SJP to be set-up in tighter spaces.
In July, Rapid Access expanded its fleet with new JLG machines, while later in the month, AJI Rentals added eight JLG aerial lifts to its heavy equipment portfolio.
