The team at Byrne Equipment Rental have had a busy start to the year with multiple product open days held at their depots across the GCC. First up was KSA in February and March, with three successful open days held in the hub of the global O&G industry, Yanbu and Jubail as well as their facilities in Riyadh.
In Yanbu and Jubail, the KSA teams welcomed prospective and existing clients to their facilities to demonstrate their product offering for the upstream and downstream O&G industry and had a wide range of equipment on display from temporary buildings and cargo containers, to boom lifts, scissor lifts and steam boilers. Syed Zahid, Assistant General Manager KSA – Eastern & O&G KSA had only good things to say about the first of this kind event for Byrne in the region,
“The open day provided us a great opportunity to showcase our existing products as well as new ones that we have recently added to our fleet to broaden our shutdown & turnaround portfolio. At the tail end of 2021, we launched an enhanced product for our camp services, designed based on heavy duty and durability, and specifically designed for drilling / rig area working. It was great to showcase these to our clients face to face on the day and we received positive feedback from drilling contractors & sub-contractors alike.”
Over in Riyadh, the open day covered a wider range of equipment suitable for various sectors including but not limited to O&G, Construction and Events. The team arranged an impressive set up of equipment on display including AC Units, Hoist & Access machines and a state-of-the-art accommodation unit custom made by Byrne’s sister company Spacemaker – SmartSpace. General Manager of Byrne’s KSA operations James Dodgson said
“This is the first time we have held events of this kind in the Kingdom and they have all been a huge success. While we have built great relationships with our existing clients over the years, it is important to take the time to welcome them, meet face to face and showcase our products, services, and the full one stop solution that we can offer. We have a lot of customers that are long standing but we have always stayed in our lane with them; now it’s about showcasing all the other products and services that we can supply that they may not have been aware of before. This kind of relaxed, informal setting is the perfect way to inform and update our clients.
We are at an exciting point in time for the industry and the country and we are delighted to be involved in so many exciting projects that are shaping the future of KSA. With Vision 2030, the government is working towards creating a more diverse and sustainable economy which we fully support and are aligning our operations accordingly”.
Back over in the UAE, Byrne’s Abu Dhabi and Dubai teams were busy with two open days of their own. First up the Abu Dhabi team held a successful day at their depot in Musaffah, where branch manager Matt Chandler and his specialist team welcomed clients and demonstrated an extensive range of equipment with a key focus on their Camp offering for the O&G industry. The team displayed a variety of equipment as well as temporary buildings in various configurations and set ups to demonstrate their capabilities such as laundry rooms, mess halls, VIP and junior accommodation and kitchens.
Over in Dubai, the companies’ events and construction teams welcomed clients both new and long standing, to their operational depot in DIC. This time on show was equipment applicable to the Events and Construction industries. Byrne’s skilled team were on hand to give live demonstrations of equipment such as hoist and mast climbers and effectively showcased the versatility of their temporary buildings and sanitation units which are available in multiple configurations and standards such as regular, VIP and people of determination.
Emily Stracey, Sales Supervisor for Byrne’s events division in UAE said “These open days are a great way of networking and catching up with our clients, old and new, in an informal setting as opposed to being on-site or at a meeting. The events industry in UAE is picking up and we have had a busy start to the year. 2023 is looking like another busy year for our team which is fantastic after the slowdown of the industry in the aftermath of the pandemic.”.
