CASE’s journey in backhoe loader production began in the post-World War II era, a time when there was a massive demand for new construction and agricultural equipment. The company, already established as
a maker of steam engines and other construction equipment, saw an opportunity to innovate. In 1957, it introduced the world to the first factory-integrated backhoe loader.
At the time, the machine was groundbreaking, combining a front loader and a rear backhoe onto a single unit.
This integration dramatically improved efficiency on job sites, as operators could now perform a variety of tasks with a single machine, without the need for multiple pieces of equipment.
Through the 70 years that have passed, CASE has continued to refine and enhance its backhoe loaders with the focus not only on power and efficiency but also on operator comfort, precision, and safety.
As technology advanced, CASE incorporated new features such as hydraulic systems, improved horsepower, and better control systems, making their backhoe loaders more versatile and
user-friendly.
CASE Construction Equipment has recently launched its latest V-Series backhoe loader which continues this legacy with a brand-new cab, which it says, raises operator comfort and ergonomics to a new level, while retaining the excellent performance, reliability and versatility of the range.
The new V-Series, which includes models with power ranging from 86 to 110 hp, builds on the rich heritage of industry firsts, well proven technology and productivity-boosting solutions.
The restyled cab exterior and redesigned interior provides uncompromising comfort for the operator, and consequently big productivity gains. The front and left console offer superior accessibility into the cab, while the spacious cab offers ample clearance for the operator’s legs when rotating the seat between loader and backhoe operation.
The adjustable seat and tiltable steering column option enable the operator to find the perfect working position.
The larger steering wheel requires less operating effort, while the regrouped switches on the right-hand console and redesigned right-hand pillar ensure ergonomic accessibility to the most frequently used controls in both front- and rear-facing operating positions.
The loader and backhoe levers have been thoughtfully redesigned to be easily reached and provide lower effort and smoother movements.
When working in hot weather, the higher number of automotive-style A/C vents strategically located around the cab ensure an improved air flow for faster cabin cooling.
The new design also improves visibility to the rear with new corner glasses, so that the operator enjoys excellent 360-degree visibility even in the most challenging situations. For night-time operations, the outer rear work lights are now positioned closer to the cabin’s edge and can be rotated to ensure excellent illumination to the side.
The spacious cab also offers excellent storage capacity, with more than twice the number of compartments than the previous models, offering all the space for the operator to store their belongings safely. They include two lockable compartments, one of which is refrigerated, two bottle or cup holders, and four open trays.
The new V-Series also offers the safe and easy maintenance that has been the hallmark of CASE backhoe loaders for decades with their tilting engine hood and optimised layout of components for fast routine servicing. The main check points such as oils, filters and battery switch are easily accessible from the ground, while all fuses and relays are located within easy reach even when standing outside the cab.
The proven FPT engine and the outstanding driveline deliver outstanding power, traction and torque density on all terrains, guaranteeing a high performance and reliability with low operating costs. Tasked with bringing the V-Series to the Kingdom, Arabian Auto Agency (AAA) plays a significant role in the construction equipment sector in Saudi Arabia and as the sole authorised distributor provides a vital link between contractors and CASE CE in the Kingdom.
Through the partnership with AAA customers not only get access to the comprehensive range of CASE equipment, but a strong network and inventory system which ensures the availability of service and repair parts throughout Saudi Arabia. This system is supported by direct access to CASE logistics in Dubai and worldwide, enhancing the efficiency and reliability of AAA’s services.
AAA has not only revitalised the brand name but has also strategically concentrated efforts on the backhoe loaders segment. This deliberate focus, coupled with a commitment to exceptional spare parts availability and aftersales services, has successfully positioned CASE backhoes as a formidable and trusted name in the market.
AAA’s expertise in the field is demonstrated by their long and successful history in the construction equipment industry, positions AAA as leaders in this sector in Saudi Arabia. Consequently, the distributor has been able to quickly find a role for the V-Series in a number of major contractors in the market, such a Dammam-based Nabatat Contracting Company.
The company provides integrated environmental services from its Eastern Province base. Considered a pioneer in Saudi Arabia’s environmental services sector it has built a reputation for delivering market-leading support on facilities management and construction projects. The firm itself prizes its capacity for the provision and execution of innovative and non-traditional solutions which improve the services provided in many different sectors.
Consequently, it has built an equipment fleet that is able to be deployed on a huge range of tasks, including infrastructure works, guard and maintenance services, sewage treatment, urban waste and maintenance, and a multitude of other environmental services.
Also a major contributor to the prestigious Green Riyadh Project, Nabatat’s range of CASE equipment supplied by AAA has extended to 75 units, including 25 CASE 570T backhoe loaders, SR130 – SR250 Skid Steer Loaders and 1110EX-1107EX Compactors.
“We are pleased to strengthen our partnership with AAA through the acquisition of the brand new 570V Backhoe Loader from CASE,” says the firm. “We previously owned 75 different CASE equipment units which worked really well in extreme conditions and met all our expectations. We are positive that the new model with superior comfort will be even more efficient and look forward to a long lasting relation with CASE and AAA team.”
Like Nabatat Contracting Company, Mohammed Alrashid Trading & Contracting Company, (MARCO), has become an important contractor in the Riyadh area and continues to return to AAA to build a fleet of CASE machines including skid steers and backhoe loaders. With the firm currently deployed on the campus construction of the prestigious King Saud University project, it was keen to get hold of the newest line of CASE equipment from AAA as quickly as possible.
“We have been using CASE for the last 8 years. Due to our experience with the CASE Brand and after-sale support from Arabian Auto Agency (AAA) with no doubt we purchased their new 570V Backhoe Loader as soon as it entered the Saudi market. The products are easy to use and maintain making it very economical,” the firm tells CMME.
Construction services company, Al-Hajdyah Contracting Co. Ltd says that it also added three new 570V units to its other 8 CASE backhoe loaders, partly because of the support on offer from AAA.
“We have been using CASE for the last two years,” says the firm which operates out of both Riyadh and Dammam. “The ease of use and comfort make it a very desirable machine for our operators.”
Mana S Al Khamsan is an electro-mechanical and civil contracting company headquartered in the city of Abqaiq in the Eastern Region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The V-Series marks the first time the contractor has partnered with CASE and AAA, and it believes the purchase will be the first of many.
“This is our first CASE purchase. With AAA’s reach and readiness to support us with their renowned after-sales solutions, we are looking forward to a long-lasting partnership.”
Fellow first-time buyer Environmental Systems Contracting Company is a national company founded by Engineer Muhammad bin Saeed Al-Qahtani who was determined to contribute to the infrastructure projects that have helped advance the development of the Kingdom. Like Mana S Al Khamsan, the company believes CASE and the V-Series are ideal for the project challenges it faces.
“We have heard a lot about the brand and its products from the industry, the CASE brand enjoys a very good reputation in the Saudi market especially for Backhoe Loaders.”
