The Yamazaki Mazak QUICK TURN 250MSY is the latest investment to B&B Attachments (B&B) manufacturing facility in Cramlington, Northumberland. Founded in 1980, B&B Attachments has grown to become one of the UK’s largest suppliers and manufacturers of forklift truck attachments.
The company specialises in bespoke forklift truck attachment solutions, creating products for customers with specific material handling requirements.
“This new Mazak machine represents a significant investment for B&B and a fantastic addition to our manufacturing technology. The CNC turning centre is for the manufacture of complex components. It is designed to meet production requirements from small batch to high volume applications. The QUICK TURN 250MSY is an impressive addition to our range of Mazak machines already commissioned here at our Cramlington facility. This includes a state-of-the-art VTC-800/30SR, along with two other QUICK TURN NEXUS lathes.” Comments John Lamberth, Operations Director at B&B Attachments.
The QUICK TURN 250MSY CNC Turning Centre brings together advanced technology, productivity and value to deliver exceptional performance. It provides improved quality and reduced lead times. It is equipped with the SmoothG CNC system for easy operation and programming. Thanks to its design, vibration is minimised during high-speed operation to ensure exceptional surface finishes to B&B products.
John continues; “These machines have been purchased as strategic investments and are part of the business’s continual improvement strategy. They bring advancements to our manufacturing capabilities, keep us ahead of the curve and provide added benefits to our customers, ensuring shorter lead times and quality finishes.”
Jason Butler, Sales Director at Yamazaki Mazak UK & Ireland, commented: “B&B Attachments has been a long-standing Mazak customer, and we are excited to support them with their most recent investment. The QUICK TURN 250MSY is built here in the UK and, just like B&B Attachments, is a great example of modern British manufacturing. We have made significant investment in our own manufacturing facility in Worcester to increase production and shorten lead times. It is even more rewarding to see those very machines leave the factory and help our customers achieve their own successes.”
