Raimondi Middle East has announced the deployment of seven Raimondi MRT159 flat-top tower cranes to support the construction of one of Dubai’s most prominent residential districts.
“We are proud to participate in the development of one of Dubai’s most anticipated masterplan projects by renting seven Raimondi MRT159 flat-top tower cranes to the project’s contractor,” stated Wael Hasan, General Manager of Raimondi Middle East.
Hasan highlighted the crane’s unique features that made it ideal for the jobsite, confirming that “a positioning and installation study fundamental to maximize machine performances and overall safety” was conducted before selecting the MRT159 for the project.
Situated in a narrow layout between other construction sites, the project presented logistical and operational challenges. “The ease of installation and commissioning coupled with good lifting performance made the MRT159 an excellent crane to satisfy project requirements, demonstrating its adaptability to tight urban environments,” Hasan added.
Erected between July and October by the Raimondi Middle East operations team, the MRT159’s pre-assembled components and streamlined field procedures were highly praised. The cranes arrived onsite with parts pre-assembled, ropes passed, and rope connections set, ensuring efficient and smooth setup.
The seven flat-tops feature jib lengths ranging from 38m to 44m, with freestanding heights of 39m, 45m, and 51m. Boasting a maximum lifting capacity of 8t, the cranes are equipped with a 30kW hoisting gear, allowing for a maximum lifting speed of 80m/min and a drum capacity of 440m.
The new residential complex will comprise 326 units spread across five storeys, with the cranes remaining onsite for approximately 15 months.
“The deployment of the MRT159s for one of the region’s most reputable developers further underscores Raimondi’s commitment to supporting major developments across the GCC region. We are providing tailored solutions that meet the region’s growing demand for advanced, versatile lifting equipment,” commented Luigi Maggioni, Raimondi Group CEO.
