Topcon Positioning Systems has introduced the HiPer XR, its latest GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) receiver, designed to enhance precision in surveying, mapping, and construction applications.
The HiPer XR is engineered for a diverse range of professionals, including surveyors, construction foremen, GIS specialists, archaeologists, and engineering firms, offering enhanced positioning accuracy and reliability. Building on Topcon’s 30-year legacy in GNSS technology, the new receiver supports all major satellite constellations, including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, IRNSS, QZSS, and SBAS.
Equipped with Topcon Integrated Leveling Technology (TILT), the HiPer XR features an integrated IMU that allows for up to 60 degrees of tilt compensation, eliminating the need for calibration and ensuring consistent accuracy even in challenging environments.
The receiver also includes signal integrity protection, anti-jamming, and anti-spoofing capabilities, ensuring uninterrupted performance even in areas with high interference or signal tampering. This means less downtime and greater efficiency for users operating in urban environments, construction sites, and remote locations.
Vince Banas, Senior Vice President of Global Engineering at Topcon, highlighted the versatility of the HiPer XR, stating: “It’s a powerful receiver in a compact and lightweight body, which makes it incredibly versatile. It can be used as a base, a rover, or through an RTK correction service like Topnet Live. With its rugged, water-resistant construction and advanced security features, users can count on highly reliable GNSS operations.”
Topcon designed the HiPer XR to address the real-world challenges faced by professionals in the field. The receiver’s durable construction, combined with advanced GNSS resilience, ensures continued productivity in harsh conditions.
“The HiPer XR represents our commitment to providing innovative solutions that support industry professionals in overcoming their daily challenges. By integrating advanced positioning technology with superior durability and reliability, we’re helping users maintain productivity in the toughest environments,” Banas added.
