DEWALT has launched its first state-of-the-art portable jobsite containers in Riyadh. With plans to deploy up to 10 containers across key projects in KSA and the UAE, DEWALT aims to enhance productivity, efficiency, and accessibility to tools on modern construction sites.
Poised to become indispensable assets in the evolving construction landscape, the portable jobsite containers will serve multiple critical functions, including an onsite service station for tool repairs, a pick-up and loaner tools collection point, and an interactive space for product demonstrations and training sessions.
According to the Construction Landscape Review – H1 2024, Riyadh alone accounted for nearly 40% of Saudi Arabia’s existing construction contracts, valued at approximately US$54 billion. Industry analysts at Knight Frank project that the Kingdom’s total construction output value in 2025 is expected to reach US$150 billion.
Across the GCC region, the construction market is set to expand from US$177 billion in 2025 to US$226 billion by 2030, reflecting a CAGR of over 5%. However, this rapid expansion is also accompanied by challenges such as unexpected budget changes, tight deadlines, and project complexities. A study by HKA notes that project overruns in the Middle East add 83% to average project timelines.
DEWALT’s jobsite containers are designed to address key challenges by offering modern solutions that optimize workflow efficiency. Each unit functions as an onsite tools service station, providing immediate repairs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal jobsite productivity. To streamline tool maintenance, the containers also serve as pick-up points for tool servicing, allowing workers to drop off and collect tools with minimal disruption to their schedules.
In addition to servicing, the containers feature a point of sale for tools and accessories, ensuring easy access to essential equipment and last-minute jobsite needs. They also function as loaner tools pick-up points, enabling workers to obtain reliable replacement tools during servicing periods, preventing delays in project execution.
Beyond tool access, the jobsite containers incorporate a dedicated area for product demonstrations and training, offering hands-on learning experiences that keep construction teams updated on the latest tools and techniques. To enhance organization and security, the containers provide secure storage for tools and accessories, allowing for better inventory management. Additionally, they offer workers the opportunity to explore and test the latest DEWALT products on display before making a purchase.
To further support professionals, DEWALT is integrating DEWALT Care, a comprehensive warranty package that includes free service, faster turnaround times, and loaner tools, ensuring users receive top-tier customer support.
Speaking on the significance of the initiative, Vivien Luttenschlager, Commercial Director, Stanley Black & Decker, added: “Economic expansion and population growth have fueled future urban planning and development in the region. As leaders in the construction industry, our goal is to empower our partners and the larger industry with innovative solutions to optimize resources and streamline workflows. Through these jobsite containers, we are adding another layer of efficiency, safety, and reduced downtime on jobsites, ensuring that workers and their teams always have access to tools and professional training.”
