North America’s leading crane rental company, Maxim Crane Works, has placed the first global order for Tadano’s newest lattice boom crawler crane, the CC 78.1250-1. The model was officially launched at bauma 2025, where Maxim Crane Works swiftly marked a significant milestone by securing the inaugural unit during an official signing ceremony held at Tadano’s booth.
The new Tadano CC 78.1250-1 boasts an impressive 1,375-ton (1,250-tonne) lifting capacity, significantly enhancing the capabilities established by its predecessor, the CC 68.1250-1. The advanced crane is designed for maximum performance in demanding sectors, including wind energy, infrastructure, and industrial heavy lifting projects.
Enhanced Stability and Performance
With a maximum hook height of 736 feet (224.5 meters), when equipped with a 49-foot (15-meter) fixed jib, the CC 78.1250-1 can lift up to 154 tons (140 tonnes), addressing critical industry requirements. Enhanced stability is provided by a widened base structure of 11.5 feet (3.5 meters) and two available crawler shoe widths—6.6 feet (2.0 meters) and 7.9 feet (2.4 meters) — making it highly adaptable to various ground conditions.
Maxim’s Dedication to Innovation
Paul McDonnell, CEO of Maxim Crane Works, highlighted the crane’s strategic importance to the company’s fleet: “At Maxim Crane Works, we are committed to providing our customers with cutting-edge lifting solutions. The specifications of the CC 78.1250-1, including its exceptional lifting capacity and transport efficiency, made it an easy choice for our fleet. We can’t wait to have this crane available to work on critical projects”
Dean Barley, President & CEO of Tadano America Corporation, Manitex International & Tadano Mantis Corporation, emphasized Tadano’s focus on excellence: “Tadano lattice boom crawler cranes are designed with a focus on reliability, efficiency, and safety. With our industry-leading innovations — such as the IC-1 Remote telematics system, optimized transport solutions, and multiple safety redundancies — the CC 78.1250-1 is built to perform in the most demanding lifting environments. We are proud that Maxim Crane Works, a valued partner, is the first to add this model to its fleet.”
