In a major announcement at bauma 2025, Sinoboom confirmed the acquisition of the Holland Lift brand and its intellectual property through its Netherlands-based subsidiary, Sinoboom BV. The move represents a key milestone in Sinoboom’s “Made in Europe for Europe” strategy, aiming to expand its footprint in the high-capacity scissor lift segment.
Holland Lift, a Dutch manufacturer renowned for its robust, high-capacity scissor lifts, entered liquidation in August 2023, citing steep steel prices, rising operational costs, and ongoing supply chain issues in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine. The company also highlighted increased pressure from low-price market entrants as a factor.
Despite these setbacks, the Holland Lift name retains strong recognition in the construction and industrial sectors for producing machines with working heights from 16m to 34m and load capacities exceeding 1,000kg. The lineup includes electric, diesel, and hybrid-powered models built for both indoor and outdoor use.
“This milestone supports our long-term objectives of product diversification and deepening our European presence,” said Susan Xu, CEO of Sinoboom Group. “The Holland Lift Brand is recognized globally and has been a leader in the large scissor lift sector both in construction and industrial sectors, and its integration will enhance our global offerings.”
Sinoboom plans to technically adapt the existing Holland Lift designs before incorporating them into its systems. Prototypes are expected to be produced ahead of certification, with the first models scheduled for release in Q1 2026. Initial manufacturing will take place at Sinoboom’s plant in Poznan, Poland, with a phased rollout of the rest of the product range to follow.
“The product will eventually be manufactured across all the Sinoboom global manufacturing locations, but the initial focus will be in Poznan, Poland, further strengthening our commitment to Europe and our strategy of Made in Europe for Europe,” Xu added.
