Bobcat has launched a new version of the company’s top-of-the-range T870 compact tracked loader featuring a new torsion suspension undercarriage, replacing the previous T870 model with a roller suspension system.
The compact equipment major said in a statement that the new model introduces a completely new undercarriage design to its compact tracked loaders. The torsion suspension undercarriage features torsion axles that dampen vibration, combining the comfort of roller suspension and the stability of a solid mount undercarriage with other new features to provide a tracked loader with higher performance.
The new T870 torsion suspension machine offers 10% more lift capacity than the previous roller suspension model. The new T870 model is available with a wide range of standard and optional features and in a range of configurations to match emissions and specification requirements for all European, Middle East, Africa and Russia and CIS markets, said the company.
The new T870 provides a more comfortable and relaxed environment in the cab, Bobcat said, achieving greater comfort without sacrificing performance. The torsion suspension improves not only ride quality, but also absorbs stresses and vibrations encountered on the job. The result is reduced wear and tear, and better component life throughout the machine.
Among the key product improvements and customer benefits are an improved comfort and ride quality, reduced vibrations and noise inside the cab, increased stability with superior grading and ground engagement characteristics, and increased flotation along with reduced ground pressure with increased ground contact.
The upgrades also include increased uptime and productivity, increased durability and reliability and better debris shedding with ease of clean-out. The new model also offers the highest lifting capacity among Bobcat’s compact loaders.
In addition, the T870 offers auto track tensioning, which increases uptime by automatically ensuring the proper track tension, said Bobcat. This eliminates the need to manually adjust the loader’s track tension with a grease gun and provides consistent tensioning to minimise the chance of loosening and de-tracking in tough working conditions.
