Chinese construction machinery major XCMG has launched a 700t hydraulic excavator, which it says is the largest excavator made by a Chinese manufacturer.
The huge machine has an overall length of 23.5m, a bucket width of 5m and bucket capacity of 34 cubic metres. With each pass of the bucket, it can dig out more than 50t of material, said XCMG, using its maximum thrust pressure of 243t and a stick digging force of 230t.
XCMG says the machine has many exclusive technologies, such as intelligent monitoring of the high -pressure system, fault self-diagnosis technology and a dual-power assembly coupling control system. It also features a modularisation dual-power hydraulic driving system and an auto oil-supply, self-adaptive chassis tension system.
With the launch of the machine, China has become the fourth country to produce a hydraulic excavator in the 700t and above class after Germany, Japan and the USA.
