Chinese equipment major Zoomlion has unveiled the world’s tallest self-propelled boom lift, which can climb to 66m and offer a maximum working height of 67.7m.
The company showed off the prototype of its ZT68J at Bauma China last month.
The model features a five-section boom and a long two section articulating jib. It delivers a maximum outreach of 31m and offers a maximum platform capacity is 455kg with 300kg unrestricted.
The ZT68J model’s overall stowed length is 15.5m, while its overall width and stowed height is 2.5m and 3.6m respectively. The chassis, which is a swing out leg type, is reportedly similar to the Snorkel 2100SJ.The Snorkel was launched in March at Conexpo and was the tallest self-propelled boom until Zoomlion’s new model came out.
Zoomlion’s other powered access model equipment introductions at Bauma China included the ZA24JH articulated hybrid rough terrain boom lift, which rises to a height 24.3m with a two-section telescopic riser, topped by a long two section telescopic boom and articulating jib.
Zoomlion also introduced two lithium battery electric boom lifts – the 46ft ZA14JE-Li and the 66FT ZA20JE-Li- along with several new rough terrain scissors and slab electric lifts.
