Raimondi’s official distributor Akem Group recently placed an order for two new MRT159 flat-top tower cranes, marking a partnership with the manufacturer that has spanned over two decades in Turkey, Iran and Northern Iraq.
The deal was signed at Bauma 2022 between Gokhan Ibrahimiye, Director General, Akem Group, and Cristian Badin, Commercial Director at Raimondi Cranes.
Speaking on the announcement, Ibrahimye said, “The tower crane market in Turkey is steadily recovering after the pandemic with the increase in demand for high performing machines, particularly for use in the construction of infrastructure and residential developments. Our fleet is comprised of more than 100 Raimondi cranes, all at work across different sites in Turkey, Iraq, and Georgia.”
“Raimondi Cranes is pleased to continue our long-term partnership with Akem Group and seeing see our cranes at work in some of the most important jobsites of the region,” Badin added.
The cranes are expected to be delivered in time to support the construction of a new residential development in Turkey with the beginning of the project scheduled for Q1 of 2023.
To date, much of the success of the MRT159 has been attributed to its 10t maximum lifting capacity, a tip load of 3.24t at 50m jib, and its ease of installation.
