Raimondi Middle East has set up four MRT111 flat-top tower cranes at the Jumeirah Village Circle, a burgeoning master community in Dubai.
Erected in May, these cranes are actively contributing to the construction of a prominent five-storey residential structure.
Wael Hasan, Commercial Director at Raimondi Middle East, spoke on the significance of this deployment, “The United Arab Emirates is currently experiencing a remarkable boom in its construction realm, spanning infrastructural, residential, and mixed-use projects.
“Our rental of the four flat-tops aligns seamlessly with Raimondi’s ongoing commitment to pivotal projects throughout the nation.” He further highlighted that, “At present, we have over 30 machinery units operating in the UAE, and we anticipate this number to rise in the forthcoming months.”
A closer look at the specifications of the MRT111s reveals their towering presence, with heights oscillating between 33m and 48m. Their jib lengths are pegged at 42m and 36m respectively. Each machine, equipped with the cutting-edge Raimondi Deluxe R16 crane cabin, is an 8t flat-top with a robust hoist gear of 30kW, and boasts a commendable lifting speed cap of 100 m/min.”
“Considering the contractor – TownX Development – delivery schedule, the MRT111 model was well suited for the jobsite; offering excellent performance across both load and hoist speed,” Hasan affirmed.
Raimondi Middle East further undertook a comprehensive site analysis to finalize crane positioning, especially considering the close proximity of a primary school and several occupied residences. This also facilitated smoother onsite logistics during the commissioning phase.
Expected to be on location for another year, the MRT111 stands out as a top-selling model in the MENA region, renowned for its adaptable tower height and longevity.
Raimondi Cranes is strengthening its foothold in the Gulf Cooperation Council, with an impressive array of their models making their mark, especially in Qatar and the UAE. Concluding his remarks, Hasan expressed optimism about the future, “We are on track to conclude 2023 with roughly 20 additional cranes operational in the region.”
