Doosan Bobcat employees have once again demonstrated their commitment to community service through the company’s annual Community Days initiative. This year, employees across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) have dedicated their time to various local projects, reinforcing the company’s focus on community engagement and environmental stewardship.
Throughout 2024, more than 484 Doosan Bobcat employees across eight EMEA countries contributed 917 volunteer hours, participating in activities aimed at improving their local areas. From the Czech Republic, France, Belgium, Germany, and the UK to South Africa and the United Arab Emirates, these volunteer efforts have made a tangible impact.
“Just as Doosan Bobcat’s teams are committed to empowering customers and each other to accomplish more, we are also committed to building stronger communities and a better tomorrow,” said Scott Park, CEO and Vice Chairman of Doosan Bobcat. “By volunteering our time and talent, our employees around the world continue to make an impact on the communities where we live and work.”
During the Community Days event, Doosan Bobcat employees took on various projects, many of which were focused on environmental preservation. Activities included planting fruit trees and bushes, establishing community herb gardens, implementing bee hives and insect hotels, and planting wildflowers to support local biodiversity. Other projects included cleaning up areas near local dams and enhancing green spaces around company offices.
In many of these efforts, Doosan Bobcat volunteers leveraged a range of Bobcat compact equipment, including loaders, mini-excavators, tractors, and mowers. This equipment helped increase the efficiency and impact of their efforts, making challenging tasks more manageable.
Scott Park highlighted the significance of these initiatives: “It is our mission to empower people, and being a good neighbour in our communities is part of our commitment and our culture. We ensure our employees have the support to give back because making a difference in the world starts at home.”
Doosan Bobcat’s Community Days are part of the company’s broader Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy, emphasising community engagement, sustainability, and responsible growth. While volunteer activities occur year-round, the annual event sees employees come together for organised projects that strengthen the communities where they live and work.
The company has a long-standing tradition of supporting employees in their volunteer efforts, including serving on non-profit boards and participating in local community organisations. Through these actions, Doosan Bobcat continues to foster a culture of service and positive social impact.
