Chinese construction machinery giant XCMG has announced the sale of 120 cranes to eXpertise, one of the region’s fastest-growing equipment rental firms. The landmark agreement was signed during the Heavy Equipment and Truck Show (HEAT Show) in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, underscoring the thriving demand for heavy machinery in the Kingdom.
The deal is part of eXpertise’s ambitious $700 million strategy to expand its fleet and cater to the Kingdom’s construction boom driven by Saudi Vision 2030. Speaking to Stephen White, Head of Content for the HEAT Show, Mohammad Ayaz, eXpertise’s spokesperson, highlighted the significance of the partnership.
“Saudi Vision 2030 means that the demand is there,” Ayaz said. “With the giga-projects in the market, we are focused on meeting this demand. And the demand is so great that there is enough for everyone.”
The announcement followed a panel discussion at the event that explored eXpertise’s growth in the regional market. The agreement was formally signed on the HEAT Show’s main stage by K.S. Sheik, Chief Operating Officer of eXpertise, and Kang Jian, General Manager of XCMG’s MENA Region.
The deal positions eXpertise to play a pivotal role in supplying cranes for Saudi Arabia’s transformative infrastructure projects, reinforcing XCMG’s presence as a leading machinery supplier in the Middle East.
