MYCRANE, the world’s first online platform for crane rental, has unveiled a groundbreaking new service: the MYCRANE Marketplace. Officially launched at Bauma China 2024, the Marketplace provides a global platform for the sale and purchase of lifting equipment.
Building on the success of its established crane rental platform — boasting over 1,500 registered companies offering more than 12,000 cranes — MYCRANE now enables users to buy and sell new and used lifting equipment on a global scale. The Marketplace offers a cost-effective, streamlined alternative to traditional equipment sales, with no subscription fees and competitive rates payable only upon the successful conclusion of a sale.
The MYCRANE Marketplace features a wide range of lifting equipment, including mobile cranes, crawler cranes, tower cranes, specialty cranes, and aerial work platforms, catering to diverse industry needs.
“Just as we’ve made crane rental easy and accessible for all, we now want to democratize the equipment sales process by supporting fast, global trading and providing access to a wide range of keenly-priced equipment,” said Andrei Geikalo, MYCRANE founder and CEO.
Geikalo emphasised the platform’s potential to empower individuals and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs): “The MYCRANE Marketplace is particularly valuable to individuals and SMEs, who will benefit from the ability to source the right equipment at the right price—wherever they are in the world. The goal is to streamline the buying process, increase transparency and choice, and create a robust trading platform for the benefit of the entire industry.”
Advantages of the MYCRANE Marketplace include verified crane documentation, filtering options for equipment by age and condition, and the availability of inspection reports. MYCRANE further enhances the sales process by offering additional services, including logistics and transportation, insurance, and financing solutions to support purchases.
The decision to launch the MYCRANE Marketplace at bauma China is particularly significant, given the disrupted state of China’s domestic construction market and its rising global influence. The country has faced turbulence in its construction sector in recent years, with economic challenges impacting domestic development. Despite this, China remains a dominant force in global manufacturing and trade, particularly in construction and heavy equipment. The choice of Shanghai for the launch reflects MYCRANE’s recognition of China’s pivotal role in shaping global equipment markets and its growing influence as a manufacturing hub for cranes and lifting machinery.
The Marketplace is live at market.my-crane.com, “providing a seamless platform for global equipment trading”.
