Vistors to bauma 2025 will be among the first group of people to see Bobcat’s revolutionary 1-2 tonne mini excavators and the latest upgrade of the E88 mini excavator, the flagship model in Europe.
In addition, Bobcat will showcase its industry-leading technology, demonstrating how it is shaping the jobsite of the future. Visitors will get a glimpse of Bobcat’s cutting-edge advancements, including the RogueX and RogueX2 autonomous loader concepts, the TL25.60e electric telehandler concept, and electric machines such as the T7X and S7X compact loaders, alongside the E10e and E19e electric mini excavators. These exciting developments mark the journey ‘from concepts to customers.’
Over 30,000 Units Sold and Counting
Bobcat’s new 1-2 tonne mini excavator range builds on the success of the previous generation, with over 34,000 units retailed globally. After three years of development, the new models, featuring over 500 newly designed components, are set to be available in the European, Middle Eastern, and African (EMEA) markets later this year. More than 50 engineers and designers contributed to the development, conducting over 80 customer visits, numerous ride-and-drive sessions, and accumulating over 20,000 hours of testing and validation to refine the new models.
The new generation 1-2 tonne mini excavators, including the E16, E17z, E19, and E20z models, offer enhanced performance, advanced features, and a fresh design tailored to the needs of EMEA customers. Many of the upgrades introduced in these machines were previously only available in larger excavators.
Innovative Engine and Hydraulic Advancements
At the core of the new mini excavators is an advanced powertrain, integrating an upgraded engine with a high-performance load-sensing pump and a closed-centre, flow-sharing hydraulic system. This sophisticated system, typically found in larger excavators, provides superior responsiveness and efficiency.
Bobcat’s new hydraulic system enables operators to operate multiple functions simultaneously with seamless precision. Even when using attachments that require significant hydraulic power, such as flail mowers, operators can drive, slew, and lift smoothly without compromising performance.
E88 Mini Excavator: Enhanced Comfort and Performance
Bobcat will also unveil a newly enhanced version of the E88 9-tonne mini excavator, featuring superior operator comfort, an improved fit and finish, and additional standard features. The updated model will offer multiple predefined configurations, making it more versatile than ever before.
The enhanced operator experience is attributed to the inclusion of the Fritzmeier cab, which is also used in Bobcat’s popular E60 6-tonne mini excavator. The cab enhancements include improved window and windscreen operation, reduced noise and vibration levels, and a range of standard and optional features. Standard features include Direct to Tank and an intermittent wiper, while a rear-view camera is available for machines equipped with a 7-inch display. Additionally, some configurations will include a new Radio FM/AM/DAB/Phone Ready function as standard.
Inventing for Tomorrow: Bobcat’s Electric and Autonomous Vision
As a leader in construction equipment innovation, Bobcat continues to push the boundaries with groundbreaking electric and autonomous solutions. One such innovation is the TL25.60e, an electric telehandler concept that surpasses the power and performance of its diesel counterpart while maintaining zero emissions for a more sustainable solution.
Bobcat’s electric mini excavators are available in global markets, allowing operators to work efficiently in environmentally sensitive areas or indoor locations where emissions are restricted. In North America, Bobcat has introduced the all-electric T7X compact track loader, designed for enhanced efficiency and versatility. The company has also developed a zero-turn electric mower to improve landscaping and groundskeeping operations.
At Bauma, Bobcat will present the RogueX2, an autonomous compact loader, and the S7X, the world’s first all-electric skid-steer loader. Both models are currently in the research and development phase, showcasing Bobcat’s forward-thinking approach to construction technology.
bauma 2025 will be an unmissable event for industry professionals eager to explore the industry’s latest advancements. With a strong focus on electrification, automation, and operator comfort, Bobcat is leading the way in shaping the future of construction equipment.
