Scottish articulated hauler manufacturer Rokbak has announced the appointment of DIR International Trading as its official dealer for Spain and Portugal, expanding its European dealer network. The partnership will bring Rokbak’s robust and reliable articulated dump trucks (ADTs) to construction, quarrying, and infrastructure projects across the Iberian Peninsula, supported by DIR’s expert local service network.
Two Rokbak RA40 haulers have already been sold to a customer in Spain and will be operational in the first half of 2025. Part of the Volvo Group, Rokbak specialises in durable and efficient articulated haulers designed for tough job sites. The company’s RA30 and RA40 models offer exceptional reliability, optimised fuel efficiency, and user-friendly operation, ensuring high productivity while reducing operating costs.
Expanding Market Presence
Headquartered in Zaragoza, DIR operates across multiple locations, including Barcelona, Madrid, Málaga, Oviedo, and Valladolid, ensuring strong regional coverage. The company has a well-established reputation for providing high-quality equipment sales and aftermarket support.
“Spain and Portugal represent fantastic opportunities for Rokbak, and DIR is an ideal partner to introduce our articulated haulers to these important markets,” said Paul Culliford, regional sales manager EMEA at Rokbak. “DIR’s coverage and commitment to building strong customer relationships align perfectly with our values at Rokbak and will ensure that Spanish and Portuguese operators gain access to the reliable, high-performance haulers they need to drive efficiency on-site.”
David Iglesias, chief executive officer at DIR, added: “We are thrilled to partner with Rokbak and bring its industry-leading articulated haulers to Spain and Portugal. We see great potential for these machines in our market, particularly in infrastructure development. With our extensive network and aftersales support, we are confident that Spanish and Portuguese customers will benefit from the performance and productivity that Rokbak haulers offer.”
This agreement comes as Spain and Portugal continue to invest in large-scale construction and infrastructure projects, creating growing demand for efficient, high-capacity earthmoving equipment. With DIR’s expertise and Rokbak’s reputation for durable, high-performance haulers, the partnership is expected to strengthen Rokbak’s position in the European market.
