Manitou has launched its “Oxygen” low emissions platform range with four new electric platform models designed for greater maneuvrability and lower total cost of ownership (TCO). The 200 ATJe rough-terrain platform with a working height of 20 metres comes with four-wheel steer and a basket that can now take 250 kg of load, 30 kg more than on the two-wheel drive version. The final figures released by Messe München show that more than 495,000 visitors from over 200 countries visited Bauma for the world’s largest machinery trade fair, held from October 24 through 30. Bobcat has made its line-up of ground maintenance equipment (GME) available to customers across the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. The news was announced at Bauma 2022, which is currently taking place in Munich, Germany. The GME range includes the recently launched MT100 mini track loader, and L23 and L28 small articulated loaders that entered the market last year. Volvo Group’s truck plant in Ghent, Belgium will start to produce battery modules by 2025, the company has announced. The investment decision to install battery module manufacturing capacity in Ghent is another important step for the Volvo Group in shaping its future value chain for battery systems, the manufacturer says. Earthmoving machinery specialist Hidromek has launched its new generation machine series ‘HİDROMEK NEXT’ at Bauma 2022, the company has announced. The new series includes the HMK 140 LC crawler excavator which is equipped with inclination sensor, swing sensor, e-dig wall and e-trench systems, together with LIDAR technology. Wolffkran has revealed a new fiber rope for tower cranes that can replace a steel rope 1:1 without any modification of the crane. The chaRope, which is being showcased on a WOLFF crane at Bauma this week, was developed in cooperation with the rope specialist Trowis GmbH. Manitowoc has launched its latest rough-terrain crane, the Grove GRT8100-1, an upgrade of the GRT8100, which will be available from 2023. According to the manufacturer many of the improvements in the latest model, which is being presented at Bauma, stem from a new chassis that shares commonality with the chassis from the 120t capacity GRT8120.
