JLG will unveil two new electric booms at Hinowa’s stand at Bauma, the company has announced. It continues a partnership that first formed between the two companies in 2010, under which, the Italian-based Hinowa has been producing JLG’s electric boom lift series, the EC Series. Komatsu will showcase a prototype of its first fully electric compact wheel loader at the company’s demo area at Bauma 2022 in Munich, the manufacturer has announced. The machine was recently designed and built in collaboration with Moog, the worldwide designer, manufacturer, and integrator of precision control components and systems. It is battery-powered with zero-emissions and is now ready for joint testing, Komatsu says. Genie has introduced a new lithium-ion battery for its GS E-Drive Slab Scissor Lifts, designed to make them cleaner and quieter with lower maintenance, the company says. The zero-maintenance Genie Lithium-Ion battery’s fully-sealed IP67 housing protects it from water and dust contamination while it has an expected lifespan of about 10 years and comes with a five-year warranty. Cummins has announced it will deliver its 300,000th engine to Hyundai Construction Equipment (HCE) in 2022, marking another milestone for the partnership between the two companies which has been in place for over 30 years. Cummins has been supplying engines to HCE since 1990, hitting 10,000 engines supplied in 1996 and 200,000 in 2016.
