Lithium-ion batteries work by a process of charging and discharging, generating an electrical current. They consist of an anode, a cathode, positive and negative current collectors, an electrolyte and a separator. DP World has launched the first direct freight service between the UAE and Iraq. Said to make the flow of goods between the two countries faster, safer and more efficient, the service uses specially designed “unaccompanied trailers” for roll-on, roll-off (RORO) operations. Towing the trailers, the vehicles can be transported by sea without the driver and truck cab travelling alongside them. Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) says that its CelestiAL solar aluminium will be “blasted into space” through a partnership with Gulf Extrusions and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC).
