Case Construction Equipment has appointed AMA Motors as its new official distributor in Bahrain to serve construction businesses across the island country’s territory.
A statement from Case said that effective from June this year, AMA Motors will support Case customers from its premises in East Riffa. The 2,000sqm dealership includes a showroom, an area that displays Case equipment in a job-site setting with gravel and rocks, a well-equipped workshop and a training facility. In addition, AMA also operates two well-stocked parts shops to provide fast and efficient parts back-up, said the statement.
AMA Motors will sell and support the full range of Case equipment, including backhoe loaders and skid steer loaders, for which there is a high demand, according to Case. Also in stock will be Case’s range-topping 885B motor grader, alongside heavier wheeled loading shovels.
According to Case, this appointment builds on the long-standing and successful partnership that has developed over the years between its parent company, CNH Industrial and AMA Motors, which has been serving as distributor of Case’s sister brands from the CNH stable.
Franco Invernizzi, Case’s regional director, said: “We are very pleased to extend our collaboration with AMA Motors. They will bring to Case customers over 60 years of experience and the personal care of a family-owned business together with the backing and resources of a global brand like Case.”
According to the statement, the new distributor will support Case customers across the territory with the back-up of the brand’s organisation and resources. It will complement the offering of Case products with a range of services, bringing to Bahrain’s construction businesses new ways to purchase and maintain Case equipment. For example, AMA will also provide flexible equipment leasing options for Case customers.
The appointment follows a spurt in construction activity in Bahrain, which is modernising its airport and highway systems, as well as building affordable new homes. As more projects enter the development stage, the country’s construction sector will be critical to economic growth in the next two years, according to a report recently published by the National Bank of Kuwait.
Case’s statement also cited a study by the Bahrain Economic Development Board as saying: “Growth in the third quarter [of 2016] was led by the construction sector, which expanded by an annual 7.2%.”
