Al-Bahar, the exclusive dealers of Caterpillar products in the region, will launch of two new Cat machines – the Next Generation Cat 320 excavator and the Cat 962L wheel loader – at the Big 5 Heavy exhibition later this month.

Both are latest inclusions from Cat’s Next Gen and L Series product family launches, said Al-Bahar, which is collaborating with Caterpillar for its participation at the event taking place March 26-28 at the Dubai world Trade Centre. Al-Bahar and Cat aim to leverage the platform to demonstrate the most innovative Cat products and its unrivalled services and customised solutions that help customers achieve continued success, said a statement from Al-Bahar.

The theme for the duo’s participation this year is ‘New Range. New Rules,’, which reflects the universal theme for Cat Next Generation Excavators. According to Al-Bahar, it portrays the powerful message of the new machines and revolutionising technology that promises to transform the partnership between man and machine. The next generation excavator is projected to bring ground-breaking development to the industry, boosting productivity and reducing fuel consumptions.

Commenting on Al-Bahar’s expectation from the participation, Samer Ismail, product manager, earthmoving and excavation, at the company, said: “The Big5 Heavy being one among the leading international construction events, we anticipate exceptional exposure and a bigger platform to reach our customers. Our focus at Big5 Heavy will be to introduce and exhibit our revolutionary machine features. We intend to exhibit with quality and innovativeness, thereby leveraging the platform to reinforce existing customer partnerships and develop new relationships.”

In addition to the two launches, the Al-Bahar/Caterpillar stand – OS A30 & OS A45 – will display the latest range Cat excavators, wheel loaders, dozers, skid-steer loaders, backhoe loaders, compact track loaders and more. The display will also include Al-Bahar Product Support Services and special promotional offers, including extended warranty and maintenance kits on every machine purchase.

Elaborating on the technology trends driving Cat’s advanced machinery in the Middle East, especially in the GCC countries, Ismail added: “Technology adoption has always been priority for Caterpillar. Caterpillar Product Management (CPM) and Cat Connect are examples of this. The products being exhibited at The Big 5 Heavy will include technological advancements like Product Link, Assist packages (Assist- Grade-Bucket- Boom-Swing), Payload package, 2D (including 2D E- Fence) and 3D Advanced Systems, rear view cameras, and more.”

Commenting on the collaboration, a Caterpillar spokesperson said: “We have several key focus areas, one of which is the introduction of the Next Generation excavator and the launch of the new wheel loader from the recently introduced L Series family. Together with Al-Bahar, we intend to showcase our latest developments in heavy machinery technology that boost productivity, (improve) fuel efficiency and (offer) lowest maintenance costs.”

Ismail added: “Customers are partners for us, and if they grow, we grow. Hence, every deal is a partnership at Al-Bahar, rather than a mere purchase. We focus on the overall growth of our customers, and thus provide holistic solutions rather than merely the product itself.”

With a strong local network of branches across the UAE, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait, Al-Bahar has been offering everything ranging from heavy to medium and compact machinery along with comprehensive power solutions, he added.
