On 8-9 May, heavy equipment auctioneer Ritchie Bros. will be hosting another massive live auction at its sprawling facility in the Jebel Ali Freezone in Dubai. Heavy machinery buyers from all over the world are keeping a keen eye on the inventory as it grows over the remaining days until the auction.

An unreserved auction is a great way for construction companies, rental businesses, contractors and others in the market to add equipment to their fleets. The Dubai auction will feature 1,500+ units including hydraulic excavators, dump trucks, wheel loaders, bulldozers, cranes and much more from some of the biggest brands. The auctions are ‘unreserved’, meaning there are no minimum bids or reserve prices on the items being sold. On the auction day, all equipment items and trucks are sold in a sequence.

After having found items of interest on the Ritchie Bros. website, buyers can visit the Dubai site to personally inspect items on the viewing days for added confidence. Bids can be placed in the fast-paced auction in three ways: in person in the auction theater, live online or by proxy. After the auction, winning bidders can collect their purchases almost immediately after payment is completed, and put their latest machinery additions to work.

Some of the highlights of the auction include:

    • A 2013 Caterpillar D9R LRC crawler tractor
    • A 2013 XCMG QY160K 160 ton hydraulic truck crane
    • Large quantity of Caterpillar 572G & 583K pipelayers
    • Sixteen MAN TGA33.360 6×4 mixer trucks
    • Six 2011 Komatsu D375A-6R
    • A 2014 Caterpillar 320DL hydraulic excavator

Ritchie Bros. is the world’s largest auctioneer of heavy equipment and holds several auctions in Dubai each year at its site in the Jebel Ali Freezone. The most recent Ritchie Bros. auction in Dubai attracted more than 900 bidders from 78 countries, including 340+ from the UAE.
