Hidromek’s new 52t-class HMK 500 LCHD excavator offers the highest tonnage in its H4 Series and has revisions in its undercarriage and strengthened heavy-duty structures for improved durability.

The Turkish equipment manufacturer said in a statement that the new HMK 500 LCHD crawler excavator has a 3.2 m3 bucket capacity and 6.3m standard boom length, and is equipped with technological aids that “provides strong and smooth performance and increase productivity in the most difficult working conditions”.

“Owing to the improvements made in arm and boom structure, undercarriage and attachment groups by using more durable materials, the HMK 500 LCHD offers uninterrupted operation in fields with the most severe operating conditions, such as mining, marble quarrying and large construction sites. HMK 500 LCHD brings the required power, durability, high performance and long-life usage to the field,” said Hidromek in its statement.

It added that the HMK 500 LCHD enables operators to work comfortably with its easy controls and options, which include a heated, air-suspended and 35-degree adjustable seat, proportional control pedal and joysticks, OPERA Control System and touch control operator panel. Safety is also enhanced in the model with its bright red handles, side and rear cameras and warning systems, with the FOPS standard cabin providing added safety for the operator in any environment.

The electronic system of the H4 Series excavators are designed to protect the engine and hydraulic components and to provide fuel saving and superior performance, added Hidromek. In the new series, an “automatic stop system” with configurable idling and stopping times provides fuel saving by stopping the engine when the machine is on idle.

A “safe fuel transfer pump” added to the H4 Series stops the pump automatically when the tank is full and this feature also gets activated when the pump does not transfer fuel for 30 seconds, ensuring that the pump stops automatically.

The “Power boost technology” feature gets activated automatically in conditions where the machine needs extra power, ensuring that the machine has the proper performance for the work. Also, the machine’s 8-inch touch control panel is positioned ergonomically at a point that the operator can easily reach. The touch control panel has high quality hardware and a large screen for high visibility and control to making it easy to access the machine’s features and information.
