Haulotte has made its Activ’Energy Management system available on its vertical masts, with its STAR models now coming with the system, which was earlier available with the company’s PULSEO, SIGMA16 and Optimum8 models.
The French powered access major said all its STAR models now embed a smart CAN-bus charger which monitors various charging parameters and adapts the charging curve according to lead acid battery manufacturers’ recommendations. Built-in maintenance care programmes, such as desulfation cycle, equalisation phase or deep discharges recovery cycle, ensure improved battery performances and lifespan.
The exclusive Haulotte Activ’Energy Management system is available on the STAR6, STAR6 Picking, STAR8S and STAR10 vertical masts, said Haulotte’s statement.
“To reduce battery replacement and maintenance costs, the STAR range can be fitted with a centralised water-refilling system. A network of hoses enables all batteries to be refilled at once when the water level sensor detects a lack of water. The operation is carried out either manually or automatically, according to customer’s needs. The AUTO maintenance pack is standard in the STAR 10 configuration,” the statement added.
Maintenance of the pack is easy, added Haulotte, as once the operator gets a water filling alert, he simply uses the manual pump to add water in the batteries’ cells. Using a water tank integrated into the chassis, the battery is refilled automatically as required.
