Johnson Arabia has provided lifting solutions at a new villa construction project in the UAE where it enabled faster builds by lifting precast concrete structures that weighed up to 120 tonnes each.
Describing the project, an announcement from the lifting solutions and equipment rental services provider said that it supported this latest project by providing specialised lifting solutions with one of its cranes, which was particularly effective for the villa construction, significantly reducing timelines while maintaining superior build quality.

Onsite lifting support for precast construction
“As the construction industry in UAE evolves to meet increasing demands for speed, efficiency, and quality, industrialised building methods are becoming the new standard. One of the most advanced approaches gaining momentum is the use of precast box systems where large structural modules are manufactured off-site and assembled on-site using heavy lifting equipment,” said Johnson Arabi’s statement.
The company’s engineering team for the project was led by Mohammed Fareed Naser, Executive Manager for Cranes – UAE and Saudi Arabia, and Sreethu Thulaseedharan, Senior Engineer, at Johnson Arabia.
“Since these particular structures weighed between 80 to 120 tons, we chose to use our Terex Demag AC700 (700-ton) crane for this operation. Our crane operations focused on lifting and positioning large precast modules with precision, ensuring accurate placement within tight tolerances and managing multiple lifts to accelerate construction progress,” said Thulaseedharan.
He explained that the installation of precast modules is a highly coordinated operation requiring expertise and planning, which were done with the help of detailed charts and diagrams. The crane lifted and positioned each module into place and aligned it using guide systems and controlled rigging techniques.

Precision and safety
“With Johnson Arabia’s experienced operators and engineered lift plans, every stage was executed with precision and safety at the forefront. This was purely due to our team’s lift planning that included load charts and ground bearing pressure analysis to ensure the life is safe and accurate.”
As urban development accelerates and timelines become increasingly demanding, Johnson Arabia said it remains at the forefront delivering innovative lifting solutions that power the future of construction.
