GP Mat International, Raimondi’s official agent in France, has taken delivery of its first two Raimondi T147 flat-top tower cranes. This addition marks a strategic step in GP Mat’s ongoing efforts to modernize its rental fleet and meet market demands for versatile and high-performance equipment.
“We’re thrilled to introduce the Raimondi T147 to our product lineup, further strengthening our offerings to the French market,” said Frank Torchard, President of GP Mat International. Torchard highlighted that the company’s rental fleet now exceeds 200 Raimondi cranes, including the recent addition of three T187 flat-top tower cranes.
The newly acquired T147 cranes, known for their operational flexibility, lifting capacity, and user-friendly design, are already deployed in Monteux, France. They’re supporting the construction of a new residential project, Les Jardins Harmonia, alongside a Raimondi MRT159 topless tower crane, which is currently working at a height of 33 meters with a jib length of 44 meters.
The T147-8t cranes are erected at a height of 24 meters, with jib lengths of 40 meters and a tip load of 4.35 tons. Powered by a 37kW hoisting gear, each crane can lift at a maximum speed of 105 meters per minute, with a drum capacity of 620 meters. Both cranes are equipped with the advanced Lumina cabin and feature Raimondi’s innovative ConCore control system, enhancing jobsite performance, commissioning efficiency, and safety.
“The MRT159 is one of our top-selling models in the region, while the Raimondi Class 110 series cranes offer significant technical and operational benefits, such as improved error diagnostics, faster commissioning, and increased safety,” Torchard noted. He added that the cranes’ modularity and interchangeability of parts were key factors in GP Mat’s fleet expansion plan.
The T147s, rented to contractor HD Construction, were installed in Q3 2024 and will remain on-site for approximately 14 months. Once completed, the development will feature 376 apartments, restaurants, and green spaces, contributing to the growing community in Monteux.
