Mammoet has expanded its heavy lifting and transport capabilities in Saudi Arabia through a major investment in new equipment, aimed at increasing local capacity as demand for specialised project services continues to grow across the Kingdom.
The investment adds a range of lifting and transport assets to Mammoet KSA’s fleet, including seven Mercedes-Benz trucks, 60 Goldhofer conventional axle lines, Azobé crane mats, and several all-terrain and crawler cranes. The crane additions comprise three 160-tonne, one 250-tonne and one 500-tonne all-terrain crane, along with two 250-tonne and one 400-tonne crawler cranes.
Based at Mammoet’s operational hub in Al Jubail, the expanded fleet will allow the company to support a larger number of projects simultaneously while improving equipment availability for heavy lifting, transport, shutdown and maintenance operations.
Supporting Saudi’s growth
The additional resources are expected to support Saudi Arabia’s growing industrial and infrastructure pipeline, where large-scale developments in sectors including energy, manufacturing, petrochemicals and construction are increasing demand for specialist lifting solutions.
Mammoet said the investment will also improve its ability to support turnaround and maintenance projects, where timely access to equipment and precise execution are critical to reducing downtime at industrial facilities.

Increasing local reliance
The fleet expansion forms part of Mammoet’s wider strategy to strengthen its in-country presence and reduce dependence on equipment brought in from outside Saudi Arabia. By increasing locally available resources, the company aims to provide customers with greater flexibility and improved project scheduling certainty.
Saudi Arabia has become a key market for heavy lifting and transport activity, driven by investment under programmes such as Vision 2030, which is supporting the development of major infrastructure projects, industrial facilities and energy-related developments.
With more than five decades of operations in the Kingdom, Mammoet continues to expand its local capabilities to meet the evolving requirements of contractors, industrial operators and project developers.
